 ADMISSION NOTICE FOR MANAGEMENT QUOTA - 2011-2013
Candidates who applied for admission to ETE/ECCE Course to SCERT desirous for admission under MANANGEMENT QUOTA seats as per SCERT norms and guidelines for the session 2011-2013 may apply on the prescribed admission form available in the institute by 3rd August, 2011 between 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
 

ADMISSION PROCEDURE ETE & ECCE COURSES (2011-2013)


** Eligibility conditions for ETE and ECCE Courses:
   
       
1. Qualification    
     
(a)

Candidates seeking admission to ETE/Ecce course must have passed Senior School Certification Examination (10+2) of CBSE, or its equivalent examination of any other recognized Board/ University. The minimum percentage of marks in qualifying Examination required for admission to ETE/Ecce course is 50%.For calculating percentage of marks of 10+2 examination conducted by CBSE, best 5 subjects including, atleast one language will be considered.For other boards/ universities, aggregate of marks in all the subjects in which he/she is requird to pass for qulitfying in Sr.Sec. Examination as per rules laid down by the board will be considered for calculating percentage of marks.

(b)

For other boards/ universities, aggregate of marks in all the subjects in which he/she is requird to pass for qulitfying in Sr.Sec. Examination as per rules laid down by the concerned board will be considered for calculating percentage of marks.

(c)

For calculating percentage of marks of Sccondary examination, all subjects in which he/she is required to pass for qulitfying in Sr.Sec. Examination as per rules laid down by the concerned board will be considered.(Marks of the additional subjects taken along with essential subjects will not be considered for calculating percentage of marks).

(d)

5% relaxation of marks is allowed for candidates applying under the categories Schedule Caste,OR Schedule Tribe OR Physically Handicapped only.

(e)

In ETE Course,Candidates opting for Urdu/Punjabi language teaching must have passed in Urdu/Punjabi as one subject both in Sec.and Sr. Sec. Exams

(f)

Candidates must have passed qualifying examination on the last date of submission of application form notified in the propectus.

     
2. Age Limit
     
(a)

The maximum age should not be more than 24 years as on 30th September,2009.

(b)

5 years relaxation of age in upper limit is allowed for candidates applying under the categories of Schedule Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Physically Handicapped only.

(c)

There is lower age limit to the candidate of any category.

SCERT does not take any responsibility for any person who completes the said course late, and therefore becomes ineligible for appointment as a teacher as per Recruitment Rules of GNCT of Delhi or any other recruitment organization/agencies.

     
3. Reservation Provisions
     
  (i) There is provision for reservation of seats for the following categories:
(a)

There is provision for reservation of 85% seats, for candidates who are domicile of NCT of Delhi. A Domicile certificate in this regard dule issued by SDM of the area where candidates resides is required to be submitted by the candiate at the time of admission.

(b)

There is a provision of reservation of 15% seats for candidates who are domicile of States other than NCT of Delhi. A domicile certificate in this regard duly issued by the competent authority where candidates resides, is required to be submitted by the candidates at the time of admission.

It is made clear to the candidates applying for admission from outside Delhi that there is no hostel/ residential facility available at DIETs/ Recognised Pvt. Institutions/SCERT, Delhi. The candidates would be required to make their own arrangements of stay at Delhi.

In case, candidates are not available in the ST category, the seats will be transferred to SC Category. In case candidates are not available in any other category, (expect ST category) the seats will be transferred to General Category

(iii) Management Quota

10% seats of the sanctioned intake for Delhi domiciles candidates for each Recognized Pvt.ETE and ECCE institute are reserved "Management Quota"to be filled from amongst the candidates who hace applied for admission in ETE/ECCE Course at DIETs of State Council of Educational Research & training SCERT,Varun Marg,Defence Colony,New Delhi-110024 for the session 2009-2011 and have been found eligible for admission to ETE/ECCE Course.10% of seats allocated as "Management Quota" would be part of 85% seats allocated for students having domicile of GNCT of Delhi.

     
4. Selection Procedure
     
(a)

First of all selection of Candidates for admission to ETE course will be udertakenen.After completion of admission in ETE course in DIETs and Pvt. Institute,the selection of Candidates for admission to ECCE Course will be undertaken.

(b)

For selection of Candidates to ETE/ECCE course following procedures will be adopted :Admission to the ETE/ECCE Course will be done on the basis of merit in qualifying examination ie 10+2 exam/Sr.Secondary examination. Only those candidates who fullfill eligibility conditions will be considered eligible for admission in order of merit.

(c)

In case of tie of percentage of marks in 10+2 examination, the percentage of marks of class X examination up to two places of decimal shall be considered to break the tie. However in case of tie in Class- X percentage of marks also, the older candidates in age (determined by Date of Birth), will be given preference. However if further tie remains at the level of age also, the draw of lots through computer shall be adopted.

(d)

A candidate not fulfilling any of the eligibility criteria laid down in the prospectus, will not be considered for admission to ETE/ECCE course irrespective of his/her merit. No representation will be entertained in this regard.

(e)

Selection of all candidates called for admission on the basis of merit of qualifying exams. shall be provisional. At the time of admission the selected candidate shall produce following certificates in original:

i.

Original Certificate of Secondary School Examination (Class X)

ii.

Mark sheets of Sr. Secondary School and Secondary school Examination or its equivalent examinations.

iii.  

Certificate of reserved category, if applicable,from competent authority.

iv.  

Domicile certificate

v.  

Medical fitness certificte from a registered MBBS/MD/MS doctor. In case a candidate fails to produce any of the aforesaid certificate in original or is found not eligible for ETE/ECCE course as per eligibility criteria at the time of admission,his/her candidature for admission in ETE/ECCE course shall stand cancelled. No further correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.

vi.  

Incase of administrative delay in the issues of the Domicile Certificate by the time of admission to ETE/ECCE course, the candidates shall be given provisional admission against an undertaking to produce the said certificate with in 30 days from the admission date, failing which the admission against such cases will be cancelled.Non submission of domicile certificate even after one month of admission will result in the calcellation of the admission and no request for further extension of time will be considered,under any circumstances.

(f)

Candidates once obtained admission in any of the category, will not be considered for any category in the subsequent list.
