IN-SERVICE TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAMME
Our Teachers of Ramakrishna Teacher Training Institute (RKTTI) attended a five day In-Service Teacher Training Programme organized by Management Education & Research Institute. Ms. Daljeet Kaur (Dy. Director of Education) inaugurated the programme. The principal, Dr. Sushil. Dhiman stressed the need & utility of In-Service Teacher Training Programme. The following topics were discussed in the training programme.

EDUCATION FOR ALL
A state level seminar – cum – workshop on Research & Evaluation at Elementary Level of Education was organized at Main Auditorium in Delhi secretariat, I.P Estate, Delhi – 110054. The teacher- educators of our institute participated in this programme.
The Major objectives of the seminar-cum-workshop were
To discuss the role of Educational Institutions in research & evaluation under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (S.S.A)
To discuss the researches being taken elsewhere at elementary level.
To provide a forum to the educationists to share the experiences & problems in achieving the foals of UEE.
To discuss the possible areas / topics of Action research by school teachers.
Basic features of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (S.S.A.) were made clear. These are :-
It is a programme with a clear time frame for universal elementary education.
It is a response to demand for quality basic education all over the country.
It is an opportunity for promoting social justice through basic education.
An effort at effectively involving school Management Committees, Village & Urban slum level committees, PTA’s Mother teacher Associations & other grass root level structures in the management of elementary education.
An expression of political will for the UEE across the country.
A partnership between the central, state & local government.
An opportunity for the states to develop their own vision of elementary education.
EXPECTATIONS OF SCHOOL PRINCIPAL FROM THE B.ED. PROGRAMME:
A panel discussion was organized by ‘Management Education & Research Institute (MERI) on the topic ‘Expectation of school principals from the Teacher Training programme. All the teacher educators of Ramakrishna Teacher Training Institute participated in it.
